My Story

I ‘get’ stress! I have personal experience of how it affects our health and quality of life.  It’s why I became a Nutritional Therapist in the first place and something I continuously have work on. This gives me huge empathy for my clients and motivates me to give them the best care and support to get them back of track to optimal health.

I have always had a love of food and a huge interest in nutrition, mainly through cooking but also how it helped me improve my performance with strength training. I have also learned from personal experience how powerful food can be and the impact it can have on our health and wellbeing. As a teacher of twenty plus years, I felt I was constantly battling a huge workload whilst juggling busy family life, leaving little time for myself. Over several years of this hectic lifestyle, it led to adrenal exhaustion and autoimmune thyroid disease resulting in depression, anxiety, low energy levels and weight gain.  I began working with a Nutritional Therapist whose recommendations had a huge impact and I eventually recovered my health. Through this experience I realised that this was what I wanted to do. I studied to become a Nutritional Therapist and set up my own practice.

My approach

My aim is to help busy people live happier, healthier lives.  I work closely with my clients, listening carefully to their story which helps me create a personalised approach that is completely tailored to them. I introduce nutrition and lifestyle changes gradually which I believe leads to long term improvements that last.

I work with clients whose health has been impacted by stress, which let's face could be anything but my particular areas of interest include stress management, mental wellbeing and digestive issues.

If you are interested in working with me and would like to find out more, I offer a complimentary consultation to discuss your health issues and goals.  I will outline if and how I could help and answer any questions you might have.  Get in touch if you would like to book one of these sessions.

My Qualifications

I am a graduate of the Institute of Optimum Nutrition, London and a member of BANT, the British Association of Nutrition and Lifestyle Medicine which is the professional body for nutritional therapists in the UK.  I am also registered with the CNHC, the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council. As a full member of these organisations, I abide by a strict Code of Ethics, provide proof of training and regularly undertake regular Continuing Professional Development (CPD). This allows me to stay on top of the latest research and to learn from the leading practitioners and companies in the industry so I can provide my clients with the best treatment outcome possible.
