I am a positive, friendly nutritionist and teacher who loves cooking, dogs and being outside.

Through personal experience I understand the impact that stress and simple being too busy, for too long has on our health - it zaps our energy, flattens  our mood and motivation, wreaks havoc on our digestion and can take away that feeling of control and calmness in our lives.    Read on to find out a little bit more about my story and my motivation behind supporting people with their health and wellbeing..

My Story

I have always had a love of food and an interest in nutrition, mainly through cooking but also how it helped me improve my performance in the gym, especially with strength training.  However, I really discovered the powerful benefits that nutrition can bring through experiencing chronic stress about ten years ago.   As a teacher of twenty plus years, I felt I was constantly battling a huge workload whilst juggling busy family life, leaving little time for myself.  I was constantly on the go. Over several years of this hectic lifestyle, I hit a low point and my busy lifestyle led to adrenal exhaustion and autoimmune thyroid disease resulting in digestive issues, depression, anxiety, low energy levels and weight gain.  I totally felt I had lost myself and didn't know why.

I was blessed with working with an amazing Nutritional Therapist. Her recommendations had a life and health changing impact and I eventually recovered myself, my energy and spark returned and I felt in control.. Through this experience I realised that this was what I wanted to do. I then studied to become a Nutritional Therapist and set up my own practice to help people become more resilient to stress and feel like themselves again

My personal experience of stress and how it effects every aspect of our health gives me huge empathy for my clients and motivates me to give them the best care and support to get them back on track to optimal health, especially their energy, mood and digestion.  Constant modern day stress and our busy lives has a huge impact on our gut health, triggering and driving symptoms so as well as nutrition and supplement recommendations, lifestyle and stress management is often key to success.

My Qualifications

I am a graduate of the Institute of Optimum Nutrition, London and a member of BANT, the British Association of Nutrition and Lifestyle Medicine which is the professional body for nutritional therapists in the UK.  I am also registered with the CNHC, the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council. As a full member of these organisations, I abide by a strict Code of Ethics, provide proof of training and regularly undertake Continuing Professional Development (CPD). This allows me to stay on top of the latest research and to learn from the leading practitioners and companies in the industry so I can provide my clients with the best treatment outcome possible.
